Valley United Soccer Club

We do not hold tryouts for the Fall season.  Summer teams will usually be kept together; Fall-only players will be added to teams that have openings.  

• REGISTER ONLINE BETWEEN JUNE 23 and JULY 25 (click on the "Registration" page at left).  
• WALK-IN REGISTRATION on JUNE 25 (6-8pm) and JULY 12 (10am-noon) at the AV Community Center.

We are planning to hold tryouts for the U11-17 age groups in August on the following dates:

• Mon. August 4  (5:30-8:00pm) -  BU15 and BU17Premier
•                                                    (note: NO GU15 tryout will be held)
• Tues. August 5 (5:30-8:00pm) -  All U16s
• Wed. August 6 (5:30-8:00pm) -  All U17s
• Thur. August 7 (5:30-8:00pm) -  All U12s
•                                                     Goalkeeper Tryouts (U13+ Only) 
• Sat. August 9 (9:00-11:30am) -  All U14s, including BU14Premier
•                       (12:30-3:00pm) -  All U11s
•                       (3:00-5:30pm)   -  All U13s

Note that we are doing a longer, one-day tryout for each age group, to help this fit into everyone's schedule.  However, it will be imperative to make the tryout on that day or request an excused absence from our Boys or Girls Traveling Directors in advance.  We are also adding back skills testing -- see the descriptions of both the skills and scrimmage testing below.  These are things you can and should be practicing now!  ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN (click on the "Registration" page on left for link to online system). 
 

Note:  U9 and U10 players should register now to take advantage of the Nov./Dec. professional indoor training; tryouts will take place in January 2009 -- you will be reminded via email.

ALL TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD AT THE EASTVIEW HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER COMPLEX (140th and Johnny Cake Ridge Road in Apple Valley; on the south side of the school).  Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the tryout times listed above at the Teen Center.

Wear full soccer gear (cleats, shin guards, socks); clothing should show no club or school affiliation.  You may bring your own ball to use for skills testing, though not required.  Make sure to bring plenty of water!
