Shout Out.....

Congrats to our BU18PR team for being awarded the 2008 USYS Minnesota State Cup "Fair Play" Award for their outstanding  sportsmanship and quality of play!

A big thank you to the following individuals who helped out at the VAA Community Soccer Clinic on May 17:

  • Players Dylan Cole (BU15C2), Sean O'Toole and Scott Tangen (BU17C2)
  • Coaches Kari Bollum (GU09G-1), Harry Gillich (GU09G-2), Doug Cashman (GU11C2), Andrew Schiller (BU13C2), Barry Caplin (BU13C2) and Marc Sutton (BU18PR)

And congrats to our BU12C2 team for displaying outstanding sportsmanship during a recent game when one of the opposing players was seriously injured (he is OK now).  Here's an excerpt from a letter we received:

"The reason for this message is to commend your BU12C2 team for their incredible sportsmanship...Please know that in a time when sportsmanship tends to take a back seat in youth athletics your coaches, players and parents showed it still exists in your community....You should be very proud of them all. In the eyes of our players and parents your community is very special for their kindness and understanding."
Dennis Walker, Coach, Shakopee BU12C2

The GU13C2 team and their "little sisters" the two GU09 teams met for some arm-in-arm soccer fun!  We pair up older mentor teams with our younger teams because it's so important for kids of all ages to connect and share the sport they love!

Club Profile

We are a community-based club made up mostly of athletes from ISD 196, although we welcome players from anywhere to try out with us.  Valley United prides itself in being committed to developing the best players possible and accomplishes this with a very strong volunteer coaching staff and team managers, a hard working tournament committee, committed parents, a focused commission and dedicated athletes.  Valley United is open to any competitive soccer player from the ages of under 9 (U9) to under 18 (U18) for both boys and girls.

We provide 2 shorts and 2 socks in our uniform kit; what colors should they be (select one)?
